Bringing PINK Back to Italy: Gosselin Manages the Exhibition's Return

After its successful presentation at the Italian Cultural Institute in Oslo, the exhibition PINK. Women in Italian Graphic Design: From Its Origins to the Present Day returned to Italy following its public run from 16 April to 8 June 2026. Gosselin was entrusted with managing the exhibition's return journey, overseeing the transport, customs formalities, and institutional coordination required to ensure a smooth and fully compliant operation.

Moving cultural assets across international borders involves much more than transportation. It requires careful planning, strict adherence to customs regulations, and close collaboration with public authorities. From the outset, Gosselin coordinated every stage of the return logistics, ensuring that the exhibition materials were handled securely, transported efficiently, and delivered in full compliance with international customs procedures.

A key element of the project was the management of the customs sealing and unsealing procedures at the headquarters of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Piazzale della Farnesina, Rome. These formalities are essential for safeguarding cultural property during international transit, guaranteeing traceability, security, and regulatory compliance throughout the journey.

To facilitate these operations, Gosselin's colleague Patrizio worked directly with representatives of the Ministry responsible for supervising the customs procedures. Through close cooperation with the relevant institutional stakeholders, the customs seals were applied and later removed without delays, ensuring the integrity of the exhibition materials and allowing the return process to proceed seamlessly.

About the exhibition

PINK. Women in Italian Graphic Design: From Its Origins to the Present Day is a travelling exhibition promoted by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI) and curated by AIAP. Featuring the work of more than forty women designers from the 1940s to today, the exhibition celebrates the often-overlooked contributions of female graphic designers to Italy's visual culture and design history, shining a light on the creativity, innovation, and lasting impact of their work.
